A little bit about me in my own words
I’m ’Kenya’ though I have to say getting a
home to call my own & a lifelong bond is
much more important to me than my
name :)
I’m what the rescuer calls an ‘all rounder’ &
‘instant companion’ because I’m everything
you would want in a dog. This includes
being joyful, easy going, great with other
dogs, soft & frolicsome.
I’m smaller than I appear in some of the
pictures though when you consider that the
kennel behind me is not very high and the
dogs I’m playing with such as ‘Dorrie’ are
only around 45cm tall from paw to top of
head then this gives an indication of my
medium proportions. Whilst I’m
approximately 1yrs old I don’t have a lot of
growing to do so I won’t get much bigger.
All the descriptions you will have heard
already about your canine friends such as
‘not a bad bone in their body’ applies to me.
The only difference is I was abandoned &
have never had the opportunities that other
pooches have enjoyed. I’d love the beach,
walks in a shady wood & doggy dates in a
dog friendly cafe for instance. I’ve never
experienced those things that we all take
for granted. I’ve never had grass under my
feet or a cosy bed. That’s why the welfare
looks for good homes for my friend’s & I.

phenomenal & surprising we are. Just scroll

example we don’t need toilet training
because we only ever went outside anyway
& we can be homed in most cases with cats
& children. Leesa helps dogs at risk so I
desperately need you to choose me. She

Because I’m black a lot of people don’t want
me. ‘Skin’ colour shouldn’t matter. I’d be
ecstatic to be in a household with one to
countless people & I don’t mind whether
you have pets or not. I would like doggy
play dates if I’m a singular pet as I love
other dogs. I could have Labrador DNA
possibly. Leesa gets a lot of lab mixes. I’m
waiting for my special person/s. What you’ll
get with me is an enchanting combination of
a regal air (you can see that in the pictures)
& a maturity & independence (great for
when you need to go out shopping) as well
as a youthful companion.
