Description

Hi, this is Dino He came to us about 3 months ago as an urgent rehome. We know very little about him, other than he is approx 10 years old. His former owner passed away and he then spent a few months in a dogs home before being adopted. Unfortunately, the lady was expecting him to sit around all day and not need any exercise...but being a staffie, he has plenty of life still in him! We wanted to avoid him spending his last few years in a kennel being overlooked, so took him in. We have worked on him since being here as he needed a bit of training and reassurance. He has been well looked after and has no health conditions. He would benefit from having new owners that had experience of the breed, lots of patience and time. We feel he would need to be the only pet and no young children, as we do not know his pre family background. He has not been neutered and would require his vaccinations being reinstated. He enjoys walks and pottering around, loves going out in the car for a ride and eating!! He can be a little food protective, but this is to be expected, given the nature of his previous circumstances. We have worked on this with him and he has got a lot better!! He is happy in his crate and very much sees this as his own safe space to be in at night. Meet and greet is highly recommended and we can discuss him with potential owners. He would ideally suit a retired person or couple that want a dog that is not too boisterous and energetic, but requires gentle exercise to suit his needs. Don't be fooled by his old grey face, he still has a lot of life left in him and hopefully someone will see his potential 🙏
