Looking for a very special home for a very special cat.
This is Florence, she is five years old. She has been in my care since she was around six months old, when she came to Scotland as a rescue from Sicily with her two sisters. Her sister Mia passed away from HCM just before their fourth birthday. Florence has had a routine heart check and the vet is happy her heart sounds normal and in good health.
Florence also has a visual impairment. She had an eye infection as a tiny kitten before she was rescued, and this has caused some scar tissue on her corneas. She still has some vision and this has caused her no issues thus far, I keep furniture the same and she has never suffered from dry or irritated eyes. She loves a sensory light! Florence just requires a little patience when you enter a room she’s in or travelling in opposite directions on the stairs, just to figure out who and where you are!
She gets along well with other cats, and is the most affectionate little baby! I have always said she will only be satisfied with how close we are once she’s figured out how to crawl under my skin. She adores people and cuddles and just wants to be a lap kitten.
I am looking to rehome her due to some toileting issues I cannot help her with. She likes to choose her own spot, and unfortunately this is often my young children’s room. I have tried a vast range of different ways to help her, but unfortunately keeping her is just not a viable option and she currently lives in my kitchen. This is not what she deserves, and after exhausting my options here I know finding her a suitable home is what needs to be done.
She is yet to be spayed as she had to have her heart checked first, but as this is clear it should be a simple procedure. Happy to share the reasons she is five and intact with anyone interested in her.
She’s really the most wonderful little cat and I wish I could help her, but she needs more dedicated attention than I’m able to give her. I will also always take her back if a new home falls through for any reason.
Price is only to stop people jumping at her without reading, more than happy to discuss for the right home.
