Description
With a heavy heart but hope for a brighter future, I’m looking for a loving home for my beloved dog, Phoebe. This is not a decision I’m making lightly, she means the world to me. But I know she deserves more time, attention, and love than I can currently give her.
Phoebe was born on December 25th, 2024, a little Christmas miracle with a fighter’s spirit. She had a difficult start in life, being born with an open fracture in one of her back legs. Despite the pain, she showed incredible determination from day one fighting to nurse and refusing to give up. It was truly inspiring.
In the UK, vets often suggest euthanasia for such injuries in newborn puppies, but I couldn’t go through with it. Today, Phoebe still has over ¾ of her leg. She’s learned to walk, run, and play just like any other dog although she needs slightly more measured activity. A natural pad has formed at the end of her limb, allowing her to get around surprisingly well. However, if she walks too much on hard surfaces, there’s a chance the pad may wear down, which would require monitoring.
In the future, it’s possible the leg may need to be amputated if it starts causing her discomfort but she would live happily and pain free as a three legged dog.
Aside from her leg, she has no health issues. I can provide full veterinary records to show she has no underlying conditions. She walks beautifully on a lead, is well behaved, affectionate, and in my eyes the most beautiful girl of her litter 🥰
The decision to rehome Phoebe comes after a significant change in my personal circumstances. My mother has recently been diagnosed with cancer, and I’m now balancing caring for her, raising two children, and looking after several other dogs. I love Phoebe deeply, but I know she deserves more than what I can offer right now.
I’m looking for a calm, kind, and responsible person to give Phoebe the love and care she deserves. I would be happy to arrange a trial period of 2–3 weeks, just to make sure it’s a good fit. And if, for any reason, it doesn’t work out she will always have a home with me.
If you’d like to know more or meet her, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
My only wish is to give her the best possible life and if that might be with you, I’d be endlessly grateful.
Warm regards,
