Buddy is affectionate and full of energy. He walks well on lead. He is amazing around children, we have 2 toddlers which he’s been with since birth and he is the most loving to them.
He needs some training for off lead as he doesn’t always respond to recall when distracted however he never runs off or goes far.
He gets overexcited when people come to the house, he just wants fuss and attention but it can sometimes be a bit much for visitors. He has a crate but he only occasionally goes in it for a sort period of time
We have a cat that we rescued autumn last year and they are best friends, he needed time to adjust as his new friend got him very excited but they play lovely and leaving them together is never a worry.
He has previously had bladder crystals as are common in dalmatians so he is on a strict kibble diet, this only costs around £60 every 6 weeks or so and he hasn’t had issues since the diet (almost 2 years ago)
We’ve looking for Buddy to go to a home where they’re is almost always someone at home as this is what he’s used to since I have always worked from home, he likes to sit under the desk and snooze whilst I work. His new owners will need experience as he can be a lot to handle and he needs more training off lead and with maintaining excitement with visitors. He’s needs someone who can dedicate to multiple walks a day and who loves to take their dogs when they go away. He comes on holiday with us every year and even with our 2 children he’s never added stress. Whilst he is good with children it may be for the best he goes to a home with no children or older children as he craves so much attention so wants to be involved in every little thing you do
He will come with everything he has, food, bowls, toys, crate, lead, halter collar and harness and belt lead for travel.
I want to be sure Buddy goes to the right home where he will be happy, healthy and loved
