With a heavy heart, I have made the decision to find my girl Ruby a more suitable home.
She’s a happy, hyper, but loving little girl, always ready for her meal and a treat! Sits nicely, amazing at recall and loves her humans! She’ll sleep on your head if you let her and would make a super sister to a high energy brother/ sister.
Better for her to have a high energy doggy sibling; size absolutely irrelevant!!
Ruby loves an adventure, typical terrier, loves being outside, discovering smells, flushing out & chasing rabbits & birds, and no length of outside is never enough of an adventure!!
Unfortunately due to (step)sisterly competition between her and my other little Patterdale, I am forced to make this heartbreaking decision. Amber was with me first, and she’s very, very jealous. She’s also a lot older, and I can feel her holding demeanour has changed since I took Ruby on.
Neither of them are comfortable with each other around- both are always on tenterhooks and it’s just not fair on either of them.
I’ve had Ruby just over 1 year, she currently has 2/3 outings per day between 30mins- 2hrs, is up to date with her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped & wears a tracker.
Ruby can get overstimulated, so I have her wearing a muzzle; just in case!
Happy to answer any questions you might have. This is a very sad and upsetting post for me, but I need to do right by Ruby and my other little doggie.
My ideal situation would be someone who isnt a million miles away from me, so that if needed, I can help out with walkies, just to enable her to take the change over to a new owner with a little time- not a prerequisite, of course.
I will take my time in terms of finding her the right home- there is no urgency here.
I am also comfortable with dual ownership until the new set up is comfortable to have her permanently.
