Description
Meet Evie, a 9 month old F3 Pomsky.
Evie is on the lookout for a forever family due to no fault of her own. More information will be provided for those who are seriously interested.
Evie is a Raven and Drake baby from my E litter (Evie was Ellie in the litter).
Weight 12kg
Unspayed due to her young age.
My observations so far:
Dogs- Evie gets on well with all dogs in my pack and has greeted dogs well on walks. She will make huffing noises if another dog barks at her (I am working on this). If someone pulls tightly on the lead she will react to other dogs...
Humans- She loves humans of all ages. She walks by people on walks and if they indicate they want to stroke her (and I allow it), she laps up the attention.
Walks- walks with me are going very well. She is quickly understanding the rules and checks in more frequently. She is not afraid to get in water, walk across bridges and has greeted new environments with a wagging tail and curiosity.
Car- sadly, Evie needs further socialisation in the car due to long periods of not going in the car...
Home- although she is crate trained, I have not enforced this for various reasons. She is house-trained and prefers to toilet outside on grass. I can leave Evie in a room with a door closed and she is content (but I have a house full of dogs and it may be she is content as some are in the room with her). She will stand on her legs and take a peek at what is on the kitchen counter. I haven’t heard her bark but only 2 of mine alert me when someone is at the door and other than that, they don’t have a reason to make a noise.
The kind of people I am looking for:
Motivated people! Training and socialisation are always ongoing with every dog. Evie is at the start of her teenage phase and I need to find someone who will love her, be kind and patient and support her through the next stage.
I would prefer someone who is experienced, as I need this to be forever. Evie will pull someone on walks if they are inexperienced. (Her genetics say we are a pulling dog, we are strong and we can do this for hours). I need someone who can read a dog's body language, respect what they are saying and act accordingly. Her humans need to be of value to her otherwise she will do what she wants (like any Husky and Pomsky).
She needs continued support and socialisation around grooming.
Evie will make a fantastic running body when she is mature and when the training has been done for her to understand directions etc
Other dogs in the home may work well but they need to play in the Husky/Pomsky play style and be a match. Evie enjoys playing with mine and has more energy than my smaller Pomskies.
Evie chews toys, blankets, bedding and has not chewed anything else thus far.
I want Evie to come to the Pomsky reunion I have planned for the 4th of April. She will meet many of her siblings and reuniting them is a special occasion.
I would keep her in a heartbeat if I weren’t at the maximum number on my breeding licence. She is a true pleasure to have and it is going to be difficult for me to let her go.
Both parents can be met as well as a full sister from the same litter and a full sister from a previous litter.
I will create a a go-home pack including food and necessary documents.
