Description
Nestled in the heart of rural Pembrokeshire, Tre-Fach Farm, is a small-scale farming enterprise where the health and happiness of our animals take priority over profits and productivity - thank you for pledging your support to our ethos by purchasing our produce and animals.
Hatched today (Saturday 13th of September) we have a number of unsexed Gold partridge Brahma chick's available and also some Bresse chicks.
We also have a few of each left which hatched out on the 27th of August so they are slightly bigger and coming into feather nicely. They obviously need to go under heat, only suitable homes considered.
Great, healthy, happy, alert chick's which look to be confident and inquisitive. Eating and drinking nicely and playing with their brood box buddies.
These have been hatched from our own pens where we run a small number of beautiful hens with unrelated cockerels to create stunning birds. Great little chick's which will grow into fabulous pretty birds.
The Brahma is an impressively large but very friendly bird with fluffy feet. They are slow to mature and lay light brown eggs but lay throughout most of the year making them a great addition to a flock of back yard layers continuing when other birds take a break.
The Bresse is a pure white bird, it is actually a duel purpose bird but it has been voted time and time again as the best table bird due to its amazing flavour. They have grey/blue legs and somehow manage to keep their brilliant white feathers immaculate. A great addition to a flock regardless of what you intend to keep them for.
We also have a single Bresse and 3 Brahma cockerels remaining from previous hatches earlier in the year - if you are looking for a nice rooster to change things in your coup come and have a look at these!
