Phyllium philippinicum, commonly known as the leaf insect, epitomises the remarkable camouflage that people often associate with these insects. Native to the tropical rainforests of the Philippines, this fascinating species has become the most popular species of phyllium.
These eggs are fertile meaning they will hatch into both males and females. They are freshly laid within the last 2-6 weeks.
The eggs usually hatch in 4-5 months but can extend to 7-8 months depending on conditions.
I use the vermiculite and bottle cap method to hatch eggs, a temperature of 23 °C, a natural photoperiod and a humidity of 60-80%.
Will be posted via Royal Mail First Class. This costs £3.15 for a large letter or £3.70 for 24 hour tracked.
