Born Feb 2024 and purchased April 2024 for my partner's son, who initially was obsessed with her but now uninterested.
She is very feisty as isn't handled regularly, although has never bitten when picked up.
Comes with full set up - vivarium with heat lamp, thermostat, UV lamp, temperature readers, and hides, and some substrate. We have timers on the heat & UV lamp plugs so they come on at 8am and go off at 8pm. Her and the set up cost over £300.
She needs cleaning out every 3 months and for this we use half a coir block (£4.50 from Pets At Home for 650g/1 block, which does 2 cleans) and some bark (£13.25 a 10L bag which lasts a year/4 cleans). Works out at under £2 per month to clean her out.
She eats small locusts, which we order online every 2 weeks for £2.58 plus £3.55 ******************y because we don't have anywhere local that sells them (so approx £13 per month to feed her).
The guy in the pet shop told us she was very greedy but she hardly eats anything. I actually wonder how she survives!
Water needs replenishing daily and vivarium needs misting daily.
