For sale I have my female boa. I got her when she was approximately 7 months old. Her DOB is a rough guess, I don’t have exact date. She is now approximately a year and a half. She is beautifully coloured and gets more vibrant with each shed. She eats a large wiener or a chick every Fortnite and sheds no problems. Never refuses a meal.
The reason I want to rehome her:
She is really difficult to get out of her enclosure. She has never struck out at me but she holds onto anything she can for dear life and flails about like crazy. The only time I ever have a chance is if I use the hook when she’s in her water bowl however then she’s wet and even more difficult to keep hold of. She is petrified. After I give up she then goes and hides for a couple days as if I have traumatised her. Which is unlike her as she usually is out in the open as you see by the video. If I succeed she just flails like mad and constantly tries to get away.She is getting quite strong now and I just can’t handle her. This is unfair on her and I personally don’t want a snake that will grow rather large and extremely strong that I can’t safely handle. At a guess she is over 4 ft now but she is still a baby really and could grow to over 10ft fully grown. She needs someone with time and energy to work with her daily. To build her confidence in being handled.I think a smaller enclosure that is rather basic whilst she is being tamed, as opposed to a big cluttered enclosure with lots of permanent fixings would be a sensible move.
