Chestnut Heidi with female kid (called Maisie).
Heidi is an excellent milker. I had been getting 2 pints in the morning and allowing the kid to suckle for the rest of the day. Now it is just a pint due to infrequent milking.
Chestnut Isadora (Dora) is four years old and not kidded yet. She will go to the billy later this month so hopefully kid in march. She is very friendly and tactile.
English goats are a very rare breed. They are hardy and strong willed. Please visit the EGBA (English Goat Breeders Association) website for more breed info.
Heidi comes from a line of good milkers. Dora is also related to this line.
buyers must join the EGBA as there are less than 350 registered females of these beautiful goats left.
We are having to sell about half of our little herd as we have lost one of our fields this year and are struggling to keep them all fed.
We have a compatible billy for Heidi when she next needs him.
They are lovely soulful creatures.
