Description

We are sadly looking to re-home our much-loved working-line cocker spaniel Lilah, 3 years old, KC registered. She is a brilliant dog at home — very loving, affectionate and loyal, with good recall, responds well to commands, and is fine being left alone. She is also good with the other dogs in our home that she knows and she does adore our little children. However, she is a high-drive working cocker and needs a home that can provide daily structured exercise and mental stimulation. On walks she becomes overexcited and reactive around unfamiliar dogs and people (barking, jumping, struggling to stay calm). This will need ongoing work and confidence from someone experienced. She does also tend to run FAST and covers huge distance when off lead. She also needs clear boundaries and her own space to relax. Because of this, she would be best suited to an adult-only home or a home with older, dog-savvy children who understand giving a dog space when resting. Again she is amazing with our children but I cannot say with young children she doesn't know. Because we are unable to 'work' her to best of her potential, she can have a low tolerance when bored as our little ones approach her when she is resting. She also can be a bit more sensitive around her seasons. She has not been spayed and is due her next season I believe in February 2026. Rehoming fee: £500 (serious enquiries only) This is purely to ensure she goes to a responsible home and to prevent time-wasters. We will ask questions and will only rehome her to the right home. Please message with your experience, daily routine, and the kind of exercise and life you can offer her. This was not a decision we made lightly at all. We would love to be kept up to date with how she is doing once re-homed.
