Dobby is an exceptionally friendly, confident and affectionate Sphynx boy looking for a loving new home due to an unexpected house move. He is believed to be a blue-cream shaded chinchilla based on his appearance. Dobby is genuinely one of the friendliest cats we have ever known. He adores people of every age and enthusiastically welcomes visitors, making it his business to investigate everyone who enters the house. He has grown up with our children, aged six and eight, and is very comfortable with their attention and cuddles. He has also lived with dogs. Although he does not generally play with them, he is relaxed, unbothered and curious around them and other animals. Dobby is intelligent, adventurous and interested in everything happening around him. We have started training him to walk using a harness and lead, and he has even accompanied us to the veterinary surgery this way. He behaves brilliantly and enjoys exploring safely. He is highly communicative and expresses himself through sounds, gestures and affectionate touches. He loves human company and is especially fond of relaxing in the warmth of the wood burner. Dobby urinates in a human toilet and uses a sturdy, shallow litter tray for bowel movements. His new family should be comfortable continuing this familiar toileting arrangement. He is an indoor cat. Although he enjoys supervised outdoor time and may try to follow family members through an open door, he should go outside only under constant supervision or after being fully trained to walk safely with a harness and lead. Dobby has a natural hunting instinct and enjoys chasing insects and other moving prey.
