Description
Playful & placid ‘Shauna’ loves other
dogs, quick to learn & has been no
trouble whatsoever from day 1 in her
Devonshire foster home along with her
sister
For anyone who is used to having a couple
of dogs in their life &/or a space in their
hearts for two joyful companions then
‘Shauna’ & ‘Shannon’ are ready made for
you. Many people say ‘two dogs aren’t very
different to one’ & ‘they keep each other
company and tire each other out so it’s
actually very easy’. They will be content to
find their paths through life as individuals
providing you have other resident dogs &
would be as ecstatic to continue on the
journey as a team.
It’s been amazing to see them blossom with
their lovely foster home.
In their words:-
“30th May only 6hrs after their long journey
Hi Leesa,
The girls are doing really well. They look
really well after their long journey.
“The adventures of Shannon and Shauna.
In a very short space in time, Shauna and
Shannon has settled into their foster home.
Their previous existence and understanding
of the world was of concrete floors and
metal bars at a dog compound. Despite
their humble beginnings, both dogs has
already demonstrated the ability to adapt,
learn commands and embrace their new
environment with unreserved joy.
Shannon is a little wary of people, though
her strength of spirit and enjoyment of the
toys provided shows that she just needs to
be given the space to breathe and relax.
Her demeanor has already transformed into
a playful girl, a little rocket rolling around on the grass, showing her appreciation by
licking my hand and openly welcoming me
this morning, day 2.
She is respectful of my three dogs and has
shown a good understanding of doggie
etiquette. She has an underlining strength
of character and intelligence that, in time,
will fill anyone's heart with love and joy.
Shauna is a placid, open hearted girl. She
enjoys a body massage and appreciates the
encouragement and attention you give her.
Shauna has a lovely temperament and
enjoys the company of other dogs. She has
open body language and demonstrates the
type of swagger that points to her zen like
qualities. Her new surroundings has not
fazed her at all.
Both dogs are enjoying the grassy garden,
smelling the flowers and bushes, sponging
up everything their new environment has to
offer.
Shauna and Shannon are sisters. Their love
and friendly companionship is clear to see,
however, they are separate in their
personalities and could settle individually
into different homes with another dog to
guide them. That being said, I am a dreamer
and remain hopeful that a loving family may
step forward and open their hearts to
having both dogs, appreciating the benefits
of keeping them together so that they may
continue their journey of a better life, full of
adventures.
6.6.26
Shauna and Shannon have been staying
with us for one week now. It is impressive
how quickly they have adapted to a new
environment. Their individual growth has
been joyful to watch. Truely, both dogs
brighten your day, put a smile on your face
and have become playful buddies to my
three canines.
Both dogs come when called, sleep quietly at night, feed from separate bowls near
each other without aggression and continue
to remain clean during the night.
Shauna and Shannon enjoy making use of
the toys and when an occasional 'tug of
war' ensues, its always good natured, each
dog graceful when conceding to the other
sibling.
No distress is observed whilst hoovering or
a washing machine spinning and they are
unresponsive to horses and vehicles
passing by.
All of these amazing attributes demonstrate
their placid natures, ability to adjust, their
intelligence to pick up routines and capacity
to learn instructions quickly.”

“A little update on Shauna and Shannon.
Just over two weeks has passed since the
dogs arrived. Very little time really, yet their
presence has been impactful and an
absolute delight.
Shauna and Shannon are loving life! Their
curious minds are open to every experience
on offer to them.
Both dogs have brought a positive energy
that has filled my own three dog's lives and
home with renewed activity and vigour.
Shauna is the goofy one and her calming
aura, four white socks and licky tongue
showcases a beautiful, gentle, big hearted
girl. You can literally see the cogs turning,
puffing her lips whilst contemplating what
to do next.
Shannon has an inquisitive mind, involving
herself with all the activities of family life.
Every toy is appreciated and added to her
collection. She has wonderful floppy ears,
intelligent bright eyes and a beautiful coat
that is starting to materialise as she loses
her puppy fur.
When I ponder their barren start in life, I
marvel at their capacity to trust and love. I
hope anyone interested in adopting can see
the potential both dogs have to offer and take the opportunity and steps to
experience the same joy and fulfillment
Shauna and Shannon have made us feel.”
