Regrettably, we are seeking a new loving home for our 6-month-old male Eclectus parrot. This decision comes with a heavy heart, as we must ensure his safety due to unforeseen aggressive behavior from our monkey towards him. It's important to note that this sale is solely for his well-being; otherwise, we would never part with him.
Our Eclectus parrot is exceptionally tame and has been hand-reared with the utmost care since he was just 14 days old. This early separation from other birds has made him incredibly friendly and sociable, forming a strong bond with humans.
He is not just a pet but a delightful companion. His personality is best described as silly tame – he loves to engage, and is always eager for interaction. His sociable nature makes him a wonderful addition to any family or individual looking for a feathered friend.
In terms of intelligence, he is very smart and just beginning to mimic sounds, showing great potential for further vocal development. He's a quick learner and enjoys interactive play, which aids in his mental stimulation and bonding with his human companions.
As part of his rehoming, he will come with his hatch certificate, confirming his age and breed.
Regarding his price, £2300 is what we paid for him. Since then, he has been socialised a LOT. We are asking a sum that reflects his unique qualities and upbringing. We acquired him for this amount, considering his early hand-rearing and exceptional tameness. It's important to understand that while some Eclectus parrots might be available for less, they are typically either females, which are known for less vocalization, or older males, or semi-tame males who may not show the same level of affection or ability to talk as our parrot. Breeding pairs often tend to be quite wild. Our male Eclectus is a rare find, combining youth with a high level of tameness and sociability, making him a truly exceptional companion.
