Hello! I’m looking for an experienced and caring owner for my lovely female Chow Chow. She’s 2 years old, 22 kg, and a smaller-sized Chow.
She’s sweet, loyal, and playful once she bonds with you — gentle, affectionate, and could truly never hurt a fly. She’s very trainable, knows her basic commands, and even uses communication buttons to ask for water or to go outside. She’s fully house-trained, quiet indoors, and very clean and calm.
She’s healthy with no medical issues, and her bloodline has no history of eye problems common in the breed.
She’s more cautious than most Chows — not aggressive, just insecure with strangers until she feels safe. I’m looking for someone with previous experience with Chow Chows or guardian-type breeds — a calm, confident owner who understands sensitive dogs and can provide structure, routine, and reassurance to build her confidence.
She’ll be happiest as the only pet — no dogs, cats, or children — and she won’t be rehomed to breeders. She’s not spayed, but you’re welcome to arrange this.
I’m only considering rehoming her because I’m moving to a desert climate, and she struggles with heat. This decision is purely for her comfort and wellbeing — and unless I find a home that can offer her a really good life, she will come with me.
She’s shy at first, so I’d like her new owner to visit a few times before taking her home.
If you’re interested, I’ll ask a few friendly questions — just to ensure she finds the perfect forever home. She’s a very special girl — quiet, bright, loving, and full of personality once she trusts you.
