We are delighted to announce a very special planned litter from our much-loved Sloop, by working Cocker Spaniel Kerdat Warpaint.
You will not find many Sprocker litters quite like this one. This is an F1b Sprocker litter, meaning the puppies are bred from a Sprocker dam back to a an award winning working Cocker Spaniel sire. This makes them approximately 75% Cocker Spaniel and 25% Springer Spaniel, while still keeping that brilliant Sprocker versatility, character and trainability.
This is not a casually bred litter. It has been properly planned with health, temperament, trainability, working ability and active home suitability all carefully considered.
We are expecting this litter to produce a lovely mix of colours, likely including black and white puppies as well as roans. As with all litters, colours and markings cannot be guaranteed until the puppies arrive, but we expect a really attractive variety from this pairing.
Dam: Sloop
Sloop is our black and white Sprocker bitch and is a much-loved part of Greenaways. She is bright, affectionate, trainable and full of character, with the kind of busy, happy spaniel nature that makes these dogs so rewarding in the right homes.
She is active, biddable and keen to please, but also kind and settled. She has the lovely mix of Cocker and Springer traits that people love in a good Sprocker: enthusiasm, intelligence, affection and versatility.
Sloop is fully health tested, including:

DNA clear: PRA, AMS and FN
Sloop has been tested for everything relevant and available to her, and this is something we take extremely seriously at Greenaways.
Sire: Kerdat Warpaint
The sire is Kerdat Warpaint, a working Cocker Spaniel we have used previously and chosen again with real thought. He has been selected for this pairing because of the qualities he can bring to Sloop: working type, trainability, temperament, drive and suitability.
Using a working Cocker over Sloop means these puppies should be more Cocker-influenced in type, while still retaining that Sprocker edge and versatility. We expect bright, busy, affectionate and biddable puppies who will suit owners who understand spaniels and can offer time, stimulation and training.
Health Testing at Greenaways
Health testing is non-negotiable here. At Greenaways, we health test properly, not just basic vet checks. Our breeding dogs are tested using the relevant health schemes for their breed and type, including DNA testing, BVA hip scoring, BVA elbow scoring, BVA eye testing and gonioscopy where applicable.
We do not use our own dogs for breeding unless they have the full amount of relevant testing, and we do not use outside studs unless they meet the same standards. The aim is always to breed responsibly, transparently and with the long-term health of the puppies in mind.

Greenaways Kennels is a 5-star licensed breeding kennels based in rural Leicestershire close to Oakham Rutland. We have excellent facilities, a professional set-up and a very hands-on approach to raising puppies properly.
We are not a casual or occasional set-up. Puppies are raised in a clean, safe and structured environment with proper routines, careful handling, good nutrition and close attention from birth.

Please note, as Sprockers, these puppies are not KC registered as a breed, but they are bred from health-tested, carefully selected parents with full consideration given to type, temperament and suitability.
Greenaways Puppy Guide & Support
Every puppy owner receives our extensive Greenaways puppy guide, covering settling in, feeding, routines, early training, socialisation, health care and general advice for the first few weeks and beyond.
We also provide ongoing support after puppies leave us. Responsible breeding does not stop at collection, and we are always happy to support owners as their puppy grows.
For those actively waiting for a puppy, we provide updates through the whelping and rearing process wherever possible, including updates from birth and as the puppies develop. We know how exciting it is to wait for a puppy, and we like future owners to feel informed and involved.
Waiting List
There is already interest in this litter, and suitable homes will be prioritised. Waiting list places are secured by deposit only, as sadly we can no longer hold places without a deposit due to last-minute withdrawals and lack of contact.
