We are looking for a 5⭐️ home for Raven❤️
After about a month in his lovely foster Raven is all ready for his forever home!🏡
He’s located in 📍Stafford area. Here’s what his foster mummy says about him!😍
From foster mummy Tina:
“Raven is a pointer/lab cross around 3 years old. He arrived on 16th June and was obviously very frightened and unsure about us. We had a crate set up for him with a lovely bed, toys, food and water, we gave him a bit of time alone to chill out popping in to see him now and again so he would get used to us.
Later that evening we started to introduce him to our pack. 4 dogs and 2 cats, this didn’t phase him at all, in fact he seemed more at ease with us with our dogs being there.
That night at bedtime he decided that he was coming to bed with us and the other dogs and slept on his bed in our bedroom.
Over the next few days he really started to settle, following our dogs and us around, giving us cuddles and greeting us with a waggy tail.
When he went out on his first walk, he was all over the place as he’d never walked on a lead before, after a couple of weeks he is now walking on lead lovely no pulling and walks by your side. He does get worried by cars, lorries but this is getting better.
Raven has been with us now for a month, he is a beautiful boy, very gentle and loving, he loves everyone he meets dogs and humans.
He knows basic commands, will sit, wait, off if he jumps up. Although this is ongoing, he will need to learn recall, he’s a very quick learner.
His favourite place to sit is in the window so he can watch the world go by, then he’ll just settle down and sleep.
Raven has tested positive for leishmania, a sandfly transmitted disease, but his levels are very low and can be controlled by tablets given daily. Advice and support if needed will be given by the rescue. He has a special diet due to having crystals in his bladder from the medication he takes , but mixed in with tuna in spring water he wolfs it down.
He can be left alone for a couple of hours with no problem, we have gradually built this up over time keeping an eye on him through our doggie cam.
Raven would make a fantastic addition to any family, he’s such an easy dog, he’s adapted so well to our routine and in such a short space of time.
With patience, lots of love and fuss, ongoing training he is just the perfect companion.”
