💗 BEAUTIFUL ADULT MINIATURE DACHSHUND LOOKING FOR HER VERY SPECIAL HOME 💗 This is an incredibly heartbreaking decision. As we are planning to emigrate within the next year, we have made the very difficult decision to start looking for a new home for our beautiful little girl, Lady. 🥺💗 We know finding the right home for Lady may take quite a while, and there is absolutely no rush. We are starting to look now because the home has to be right for her, no matter how long that might take. ❤️ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🐾 A LITTLE ABOUT LADY 🐾 Lady is a 3-year-old miniature dachshund, black and tan, long-coat, KC registered and microchipped. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment. She is a tiny little girl, weighing just 4kg. Lady is also fully house trained and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety, which is quite unusual for a dachshund. She is happy and settled when left for a reasonable amount of time, but she is used to having company of other dogs. Lady is very shy and timid around strangers. She lacks confidence and needs time to settle somewhere unfamiliar. When we go on holiday, Lady stays with a home boarder alongside one of our other dogs. We are always told that for the first few hours she walks around whining and looking for us, but once she settles, the real Lady comes out. ❤️ She becomes a completely different dog — loving, cuddly, affectionate and incredibly loyal. She loves being fussed, sitting on your lap and being close to you. She genuinely doesn't have a nasty bone in her body, she's the softest little dog you could ever meet. Lady loves going for walks, although I tend to take her to quieter places where she feels more comfortable. She has a little habit of walking right by your feet and, when she's had enough or wants picking up, she will tap the back of your leg with her paws. 🥰 Lady currently lives with other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them, so another small, confident, neutered dog is essential in her new home. I really feel having another dog around would help her confidence and give her the reassurance she needs. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏡 THE HOME WE ARE LOOKING FOR 🏡 🐾 A quiet, calm household with no children 🐾 Someone who is not working full-time and can be around for most of the day 🐾 Another small, confident, neutered dog 🐾 Ideally someone experienced with dachshunds and is familiar with their traits 🐾 Someone patient who understands that she may take time to trust 🐾 Someone who will allow her to build her confidence at her own pace 🐾 A peaceful home without lots of visitors or unfamiliar people constantly coming and going 🐾 Most importantly, someone who will love her unconditionally and treat her as part of the family ❤️ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ We very rarely have visitors ourselves, so Lady isn't used to a busy household or lots of unfamiliar people coming and going. This may be why she is so nervous around strangers, which is another reason we feel a quiet, peaceful home would suit her best. Lady is a typical dachshund — extremely loving, loyal and very attached to her person. When you first meet Lady, she will not run up to you at all. She will be nervous, unsure and will need you to give her the space and time to get to know you. Please don't let this put you off, because once Lady knows you and feels comfortable around you, it is a completely different ball game! ❤️ Once she trusts you, she will be the first one to greet you, shower you with love and affection, and will happily jump up at you for fuss, cuddles or to be picked up. She is loving, cuddly, playful and absolutely loves being close to the people she trusts. The nervous little girl you meet at first is not the Lady you will get once she knows you — the real Lady is full of love, affection and personality. ❤️ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💔 THIS IS NOT A DECISION WE HAVE TAKEN LIGHTLY. We aren't looking for just any home for her. We are looking for HER HOME — somewhere she will be loved, understood, spoiled and cared for for the rest of her life. ❤️ Please only get in touch if you genuinely feel you can offer Lady the very special, loving and patient home she deserves.
