We are looking for an active couple/person with a rural home and no young children or cats.
We are in search for a forever home for our dog who is unfortunately struggling with family life. We have had him since he was 5 months old and he's had an enriched life, we've done scent work, mantrailing and help from lots of professionals over the years. I have ran with him but he's not done cani-cross, he would potentially be a good candidate though!
His behaviour is more typical of a Spanish Water dog than a cocker spaniel. Can be wary of strangers, excellent guard dog (vocal at the door). He is extremely loyal and loves a cuddle on the sofa as well as routine. He is however an anxious dog and can be lead reactive to dogs (we have a good management plan as he's highly food motivated so it's manageable).
He's been on regular group walks with a dog walker and trusted dog boarder. He could live with another dog, we have previously fostered dogs and he's been happy to share a home/play with them. He would be okay as an only dog or with a well matched dog.
He does get excited in the car and can be vocal on arrival.
He has been raw fed his whole life and is healthy.
We have tried rescues but are now searching privately with the support of our behaviourist. He struggles with the disruption a young child brings and finds cries/whinging intolerable. We've tried medication and different behaviour mods but he's not happy/thriving. We are expecting another child at the end of the year and this feels unfair for him. He deserves a happy active home and stability.

Price is negotiable as we just want to find the best home for him. He will have his beds, toys, enrichment toys, coats, harnesses etc.
