Description
Born on the 4th of March 2024, to a fully Siberian Husky Dad and half Siberian Husky, half German Shepherd Mum. We personally knew the breeders. He has had all his vaccinations so far, although he has not been neutered thus far. A 3 month injection was recommended to see whether it would be beneficial for him or not.
We are absolutely devastated we have to re-home him, he lives with me, my wife and two children who are 5 and 4. He is a gentle soul and loves nothing more than lots of cuddles and bundles of walk and fun (particularly fond of a frozen filled kong and ripping apart toys). He does have a sensitive stomach but this is what we feed him and seems to work well..
We got Shadow due to my wife’s mental health issues; aiding her to get out and about which worked but unfortunately the reason for rehoming is Shadow’s separation anxiety, we have tried lots of training routes but due to grievances in the family we have not been able to give it our all. We do have to stress, he can’t even be left for 1 minute without whining at the moment and had to abandon crate training due to him escaping and hurting himself.
He is such a fast learner, he will wait for food and snacks, he can do both paws, sit, down, your basic commands brilliantly and we have started teaching him “come” and “off”. He jumps up at guests purely for love, cuddles, and attention. He will make a rubbish guard dog, because he loves everyone that comes into our house! With somebody who knows what they’re doing with training will have an absolutely beautiful, perfect, loveable dog who just needs the extra attention for lots of training.
Unfortunately he is not good with cats. Some other dogs are intimidated by him, which the vet told us because of his different coloured eyes and dark fur makes it hard to read him. But when he finds dogs that do react well to him, he loves to play, jump and run around with them!
Due to this being such a hard and heart breaking decision, we are adamant that he goes to the right home, someone that is home all the time so training on his separation anxiety can be done properly. And obviously for someone to love him as much as we love him.
