Rescue Story:
💔 Slinky story is heartbreaking neglect
.. She was rescued alongside two other shepherds after being left to fend for themselves for months. Hungry, scared, and completely abandoned, they survived only because of their will to live. Slinky was the youngest and most cautious of the three. It took soft voices and gentle hands to earn her trust. After her rescue, she spent several long months in kennels, growing increasingly withdrawn. Though staff cared for her deeply, she was fading – longing for touch, for connection, for someone to see her.
🐾💖🏠 Last week, her life finally changed: a wonderful foster opened their home and heart to her. For the first time in months, Slinky sleeps near someone. She’s walked, loved, and beginning to believe in people again.

🐶 Slinky is doing brilliantly, and her separation anxiety improves every day. She’s a clever but a bit stubborn girl who needs a confident, experienced handler to keep her moving forward. She’s still wary of some people, but gaining trust steadily.”
🐶 Slinky has discovered the joy of play – zoomies were once terrifying, but now she allows herself to let go. She walks beautifully on the lead, often staying right at your heel. She's also incredibly affectionate once she feels safe – cuddly, loving, and so full of loyalty.
🐶 Slinky needs a structured routine with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Without it, she may become frustrated or destructive. She can live as an only dog, or with a well-balanced, active dog of similar size who can help her continue to grow in confidence.
No cats, small animals, or small children for Slinky, please – she needs a calm and consistent environment.
Ideal Family:
🏠 Slinky would thrive in an adult-only home with someone familiar with shepherd breeds and their needs. A secure garden is essential. She needs structure, exercise, and time – but in return, she will give deep, unwavering loyalty and love.
