Description

ALASKA is a nice looking, good natured, sweet & easy, now all seen to & all up to date approx. 11.3hh, 5yo, child/disabled friendly, grey Welsh A rescue mare with foal at foot. PLUTO, her chunky, fit & healthy, tame, 4mth old, all checked, up to date, tame show colt foal, at foot has lovely movements & estimated to make 12-12.2hh kids pony. Re-homing fee £500 each as seen. (Not to be split till 6montths old) Re-homing fee £900 as seen in total for both. (No hidden extras, membership fees or lease fees.) Open to viewing & vetting & honest advise given. Ponies & passports become fully yours. Signed receipt given with our home address, phone numbers etc. Cheap UK transport available but not unseen. Must make the effort to come, view them & kindly check them out. Alaska came to our rescue centre after her owners sadly passed away. She was unhandled, neglected, in foal & very thin. The positive side to that is, of course, that she has never been fat. Not overfed, given treats, hammered, hit or stood bored in a stable. Badly neglected but not otherwise spoiled/ruined/abused by humans Had much to get done, see & learn but little to undo or unlearn. Went thro' usual isolation period/checks. Showed no signs of sickness, Cushings, EMS or laminitis. Possibly a past (horse) kick to jaw. Had mild asthma (vet no meds) during pregnancy. Awaiting vet check to see if she can be ridden, lightly ridden (lead rein) or not ridden at all. What ever said she will be re-homed, as seen, as a non-ridden pony. If a family wants to back her/have their small child ride her, they would be advised to first consult with a good vet & have her checked out properly with that in mind. She has not previously been backed, ridden or driven. Not for bigger child, producer, seller on, dealer or riding school. Microchipped & Passported, age estimated by vet & wormed. Teeth checked, rasped & Wolf teeth extracted. Vaccinated Flue/Tetanus & farrier trims her feet every six weeks. Loved by dentist & normally fine for vet & farrier. Save you a lot of money & bother. All round a joy to be around & work with. Easy to catch, lead, tie up, brush, wash, pick feet, worm, rug up etc. Loves kids taking her for walks around the farm & into the woods. Good to load & travel. So good natured with so much love to give. We know there will just be that autistic child/teen or older person, Family, horse owner, petting zoo, pony business or therapy centre out there longing for a dream pony, best buddy, companion pet, party pony or therapy pony project like her. Some one who will love her & enjoy her if able to be ridden or not. If that is you we will want to hear from you. Alaska will be re-homed with her foal at foot. They should not be spilt/weaned till he is six months. He could then be gelded kept or re-homed. Pluto has been microchipped, passported & wormed. Vaccinated 1st flue & tetanus & feet trimmed regularly. Both testes have dropped so a real colt NOT a rig. Should not be too expensive to geld. Normally cheap castration clinics around (can advise). Pluto is confident/independent for his age & comes right up. Calls for, follows & even naps next to my autistic son - mare guarding. Hence easy to catch & put headcollar on & mare doesn't mind. Halter broke & learning to tie up, go for walks, brush, pick feet etc. Still naturally a happy, healthy & playful colt foal. Hence till gelded not for child, novice or nervous person. The mare should be fine with just about any kind person. If allowed space & grass to grow/develop; gelded; training kindly continued, & not given treats, I imagine, Pluto will in time be well sought after for in hand showing & future lead rein, Pony Club, first/second ridden kids' show pony etc. Open to viewing & vetting & honest advise given. If good match/approved can pay & take on the day. But no hackling, payment plans, scams. LWTVTB, loaning, extras etc. At £900 as seen for the two - They are cheap as it is. Questions will be asked. (Animal lovers will understand.) Ponies/passports become fully yours. If wanted happy to help stay in touch. Cheap cost price, UK transport available but not unseen. Happy to give a quote if we have the post code. Must of course be over 18, kind, able & willing to afford. Must also have a suitable place/paddock to keep ready. No gardens, fly-grazing, dealers or producers. To be in for a chance of these lovely ponies please tell us a bit more. Also when you will be able to view/maybe rehome. All being well we can then arrange a no obligation viewing. Very central & easy to reach location. You have to meet them to believe how nice they are. x
