Gary – 2-year-old small mixed breed
Currently in foster in Gloucestershire, living with an adult family and other dogs
This sweet little chap came into our care after being found wandering the streets of Bristol.
He served his 7 days in the pound before arriving with us, and right from the start it was clear what a special boy he is – gentle, friendly, and simply a lovely little dog.

Gary has settled beautifully into foster. He’s shown himself to be a kind, polite soul who enjoys walks (he’s even trusted off lead), travels well in the car, and happily settles in his crate at night. Around other dogs he tends to keep himself to himself – he’s not really interested in playmates, but he coexists calmly and respectfully.

What stands out most about Gary is his temperament: he’s affectionate, easy-going, and eager to please.
He hasn’t been left for long periods but has coped fine with a few hours.
We think Gary will be happiest with an early retired person or couple looking for a companion – someone who will enjoy taking him for walks, popping to a café, and giving him the love and security he deserves.
At just 2 years old, he’s a young dog with potentially many years ahead (possibly 15 or more), so we’re looking for a home ready for a long-term friend.

Gary’s one little challenge at the moment is house training. He’s recently been neutered and is currently living with another male dog who marks in the house, which hasn’t helped! We’re confident this will improve with time, consistency, and once his foster buddy has gone to his new home. We’ve been here before and always managed to sort it out.

Gary has been vet-checked he has obviously had a flea infestation which has left bald patching on him hence the name Gary Baldy, castrated, flea- and worm-treated, and has started his vaccinations.
