This is Theo. He is a very loving 15 month old Dachshund. We have had him since 8 weeks old and he has brought us a lot of happiness and unfortunately due to completely unforeseen circumstances we feel that he would be happier placed with people who have more time to care for him as he loves cuddles and attention. When we got Theo I was working from home and only had to go into the office a few days a month but I have to return full time. Theo is a typical Velcro dog and prefers company. Although we are lucky that he does not have any separation anxiety (we have a camera to check on him) I feel guilty on days when he is left at home alone as our home is tiny so he doesn’t have much space to run around during that time. Theo has had all his vaccines, is microchipped and is up to date with his flea and worm treatment. We have a crate, dog bed, doggy car seat, a box full of toys and puzzles (kings, lickmat) some clothing (coat for winter and a life jacket for water) and other items to send with him. Theo LOVES going on walks and being able to sniff around. His recall is very good (word:Bingo) so he can be off lead in areas with big fields and space. Sometimes he barks at other dogs if they get too close. He does make friends with dogs but needs slow introductions to them as sometimes he can bark loud which might scare the other dog no matter the size. Theo sleeps in his crate at nights and usually sleeps in in the morning. On weekends he wakes and we let him in our bed to sleep in which he absolutely loves its his favourite place he loves being burrowed under blankets. We feed Theo butternut box but honestly he eats pretty much everything. When doing training (he can sit, lay, give paw and touch) he is a big sucker for cheese. We would preferably like Theo to meet people first as we want to ensure he is going to a good loving home.
