Description

Meet ‘The Boss Man’ aka ‘Liam’ Stunning Clydesdale X Cob - 15.1/15.2HH - 6yo This horse was once a 10k lad and believe me we’re taking a loss on him at offering him at this money Yet again HUMAN ERROR has set him back a million miles - he’s nervous on the ground and needs patience and understanding absolutely no harsh hands. We are not ‘pony patters’ I can assure you this is the loveliest chap ever who does genuinely need calm experiences and nothing but kindness. If you can’t give him that, please don’t bother calling Sweet in the stable - not sharp or skittish etc. Good to bring in and out, tie up , groom , catch, tack up etc Loads and travels well Works sweetly in the school with a stunning uphill show ring canter - so much potential and he really enjoys working in the arena Enjoys popping small fences in and out of the arena. Also popped many logs etc out hacking which he’s loved. Good in open spaces and bold and genuine in the busy traffic Like many ‘heavier horses’ , they are sometimes not the best either picking up their feet. I believe this to have been the case with Liam which someone has clearly beat him for. Now he’s terrified and didn’t even like his leg being touched when I first had him. After just over a week of settling and getting to know each other , I can now pick up the front feet and touching the backs. He just needs patience , positive reinforcement, and consistency with this. Ten minutes every day and this WILL become a distant memory Once you’re on board Liam is straight and easy to ride. Although, getting in is not always very easy. Again, something we are working on and seeing progress with each and everyday without fail. He does not buck / rear / bronk etc. Genuinely nervous and just rushes off I tend to get on and off in the stable a few times , lots of treats and praise and then out on to the yard and repeat the process. He is also much better if you have someone to hold him. I have plenty of video footage of this This is kind horse who is a 10k cob in there deep down. People have let him down in the past and I’ll do my all to make sure this doesn’t happen to him again. So if you can’t give him your time and patience, just don’t bother and I will keep him for as long as it takes until I feel that right person has been found Based in Newport south wales - I’d be more than happy to deliver him myself and see him happy in a new home Stable spaces is needed , that’s the only reason I’m not keeping him long term to correct these errors
