Hi, I’m Merinda—Meri for short! A beautiful pointer cross with a glossy coat, cute speckled “socks,” and the gentlest eyes you’ll ever see. My name suits me perfectly, because I’ve got the merriest nature—my tail never stops wagging!
My journey hasn’t been easy: I was rescued from the wildfires in Cyprus, and now I’m safe in foster care here in Scotland. But even after everything, my sweet spirit shines through.
I’m calm, affectionate, and quietly devoted. I love peaceful walks, soft voices, and simply being near kind people. I walk beautifully on a lead and don’t crave constant excitement—just a warm place to rest, gentle companionship, and the chance to be part of a loving family.
I’d thrive in a calm, caring home where I can settle in at my own pace. I’m wonderful with older children and would be a perfect match for a household that appreciates a gentle soul. I’m not demanding—I just want someone who sees the goodness in me.
I’d especially love a home with another resident dog. Having a canine companion would help build my confidence and give me a reassuring friend to share life with.
To keep me safe and happy, I’ll need a secure garden with fencing at least 5 feet high, and any children in the home should be aged 12 or older.
