"The Grandmas Who Ask for Permission to Live" đ Please give them both the happiness they deserve. đ đ
We have been asked by a trusted Rescuer to find a âJoint Homeâ for two senior dogs, a mother, Amparo, and her daughter, Leonor. This is a shocking story of abuse and neglect. These two beautiful little souls were locked away by their owners, with no food or water and left to die. Luckily, they were found by one of our kind rescuers.
These are the words from our Rescuer.
âI have some rescued senior dogs that I just canât bring myself to post for adoption. It feels like theyâre still asking for permission to live. When I give them delicious food, they stop eating for a moment and come to me, as if they need to make sure itâs okay to enjoy it, as if itâs okay to be alive. They gently climb up and lick my hands in a kind of gratitude that both hurts and melts your heart.
When I walk past them, they crouch down on the ground, as if expecting the worst⊠and once Iâve passed, they get up and happily follow me, like theyâre celebrating that, once again, no harm came. Like they still canât fully believe that someone simply loves them.
Seeing this every day is beautiful⊠and also very hard. Because even though theyâre sweet, loving, and grateful, they show me just how deep the pain can go in a being whoâs been mistreated. And that breaks you inside. Emotionally, certain things crush you, even when you see progress, even when thereâs love.
Sometimes I feel theyâre not meant to be offered to anyone anymore. Not because they donât deserve it, but because what they need now is stability, understanding, quiet, and respect. Maybe just that â for no one else to change their life again. For their final days to be peaceful, with full bellies, calm hearts, and without fear.â
With these words said we are looking for a joint, forever, home where they can live out their lives in comfort, with the love, security and occasional cuddles that they have both desperately lacked.
If you want to know anymore about these dogs please contact us and we will gladly help you.
We are Hope4Paws Uk&Spain, a Not For Profit âRescue & Re-Homing Group run entirely by volunteers, who find homes for abandoned or stray dogs. We do not have our own kennels but all our funds go towards rescue costs, rescue kennel fees and transport. To adopt one of our dogs, it costs a total of ÂŁ395: an initial Fee of ÂŁ100 to secure transport, with the remaining ÂŁ295 collected before travel and delivery to your home. Thank you so much for your support for all of our beautiful dogs that are looking for their forever homes.đ
