Roxie is an absolute beauty. A German Shepherd with stunning markings and all the classic features of the breed. At her current age she is a little on the lanky side, with long limbs and oversized ears that she will eventually grow into (we hope!).
Roxie was rescued from a very sad situation. A kind-hearted gentleman removed her from a home where she had been severely neglected. She was extremely underweight and had all of her fur shaved off. Thankfully, he took her in, nurtured her back to health and she is now looking and feeling so much better. She could still do with gaining a little more weight, but she is raw fed and thriving, so this should not take long.
Sadly, he is unable to keep her long term, so we are now looking for a German Shepherd lover (ideally someone with experience of large breeds) to offer Roxie her forever home. She is friendly, affectionate and intelligent, and would make a wonderful companion for someone with an active lifestyle who enjoys woodland walks and playtime in the garden.
Roxie is good with children. However, due to her size and youthful exuberance, we would recommend children in the home are aged 12+ and dog savvy, as she is still technically a puppy and can occasionally push her luck.
She is friendly with other dogs and could potentially share her forever home with a canine companion. As always, a meet-and-greet would be arranged prior to rehoming to ensure compatibility. Roxie has not yet been cat tested, but this can be organised at our kennels if required. Due to her breed, we would recommend no small furries in the home, just to be on the safe side.
Roxie is an absolutely fantastic dog. When assessed by our trainer for rehoming, there was nothing but praise for her, and we have no doubt she will be snapped up very quickly.
