Please read this carefully so you know you’re the right home for my loveable boy Bowie.
Bowie is 2.5 years old and the friendliest boy you’ll meet. He loves cuddles and belly rubs and will follow you anywhere you go and protect you fiercely.
He is completely healthy and is able to live inside the home or outside! He has done both and enjoys both.
He has grown up with my two young kids and is always very gentle and loving towards them. He has never known life without kids.
He is very food motivated and will do anything for a treat!
He is very protective of the home and will bark if he hears anything odd or sees something he believes is a “threat”. Other than that, he is not a barker.
Now here are the things we struggle with:
- he pulls on the lead unless we use an electric collar (which for us has been a godsend…). He also has a prong collar which helps too.
- he has been reactive to some dogs but not most and there isn’t a type he seems to be reactive too, so therefore we have never let him off lead unless walking him around the nearby fields, on his e collar.
- he can jump any fence we seem to put in, so he will need somewhere very secure, or you risk him escaping.
The type of person I am looking for:
- someone with proper experience of a dog of this size, strength and power
- someone who has not got any other pets, unless you believe your experience with dogs is superior and you’ll be able to handle the potential outcomes
- someone with enough space for a dog of his size
- someone who is at home most of the time
The dog you’ll get is wonderful: he really is super sweet and such a loveable boy and will enjoy cuddling you on the sofa, going on walkies and paying with you all day long.
He’s such a goofy dog and cracks me up all the time and I’m absolutely gutted that my allergies have gotten to a point where I’m now struggling to breathe around him. I’ve tried and tried to make it work but I just can’t anymore! I love him and will cry so much when he goes but knowing he has a good home, will make me feel much better!
