On January 3rd this tiny, emaciated and frightened little girl wandered into the yard of a lady who was kind and worried enough to take her to the vet to check for a microchip. There wasn't one of course...
The vets kept her safe until Constantina was able to pick her up a few days later. Nancy lived at the sanctuary until July, when she flew to a foster home in the UK.
Nancy has been quick to settle in and is making much quicker progress than we anticipated!
It's still very clear that she has been mistreated and she is still unsure around humans she does not know.
However, this tiny girl has a huge presence and is quickly learning about all the wonderful things and comforts that come with having a home.
Nancy adores her foster siblings and enjoys a good game of bitey face, and despite the huge size difference, she is not intimidated! She will definitely benefit from a home with a playful and friendly resident dog.
Nancy loves her walks and runs in a secure field where she really gets to stretch her legs, she is fast for such a little dog.
Whilst Nancy current lives with a 9 year old, she will benefit from a quiet home with older children (little people are so exciting when they squeal!)
Nancy will also need a home with patience, who are willing to teach her about the kindness of humans and who are willing to progress at her pace without overwhelming her.
Her foster family are happy to answer any questions you may have.
