It absolutely destroys me to say that our family has to part way with this beautiful girl. This is Nelly. She is 3 in May and she’s a staffy but unfortunately not KC registered. We have had to let her go because although we have tried our best to train her, it is impossible for her and our newborn to cohabit in our home.
Nelly is a wonderful girl but she does come with some baggage. She was attacked when she was younger by a Labrador and since then she has become quite nervous. She’s super nervous with other dogs but with a muzzle and enough socialisation we managed to eventually make her best friends with my mothers dog so she will make it work. This is also a similar situation with people. Initially she is 50/50. She can be super excited to see you or she can be very stand-offish and she will not let you stroke her and in particular towards her back end as she will tell you off but she’s never bitten anyone. Again, with enough time she now loves all my friends and family and smothers them with affection.
She is a super intelligent, sweet and loving girl and she would be a perfect companion to someone with lots of experience and patience with no children coming to the house. She is massively food motivated so for treats she will do anything.
This is the hardest decision of my life and because of this I really need people to help me with this. I can’t have time wasters so if you’re not experienced at all with a troubled dog, please respect I can’t let her go to you. I did want her to go to a shelter that could rehabilitate her so that someone could get the best version of her but they’re all full and I never want to see her be put down. She will be free and I can give food, harnesses, leads etc.
