Meet Tia and Rio two male cockatiels that I’ve had for about 3 and a half years. We bought Tia the younger one at 10 weeks from a very good breeder who hand reared him . He has the yellow crest and is about three years old now. After a year we got Rio from a friend to keep Tia company. Rio is slightly older than Tia and has a grey crest. We think he’s about 3 1/2 years old. Both were hand reared and are very loving and tame. Tia likes to sit on you- he will step up and give you a kiss - he’s not a fan / does not like being touched -but very friendly . Both of them love human company. Tia talks quite well. He says things like ‘Peekaboo,’ ‘what you doing?’ ‘good bird’ Rio also says a few words he has learned from Tia so he says good bird, and hello and peekaboo but he is more of a singer and he likes to sing things like ‘if you’re happy and you know clap your hands’ and the theme tune to the Addams family. They are in good condition and are allowed to fly free during the day which must continue. Plus need human interaction. Unfortunately my daughter has now left home due to work and I can’t give them the love and attention they crave and deserve. They return to shared cage by themselves at night. they are being sold with a big cage which is everything in it. VITAL - Now this is the important bit. I am only selling due to a change in circumstance and it’s breaking my heart. I will only let these two lovely birds go together to a very good home. They seem to be okay with strangers into the home and will happily go and sit on peoples heads and therefore I think that they will soon adapt to a new family hopefully. But if there’s any problem I will take them back so do not sell them on. I will not have them stressed. I will have them back. Please get in touch and you’re welcome to come and have a look at them.
