This is the love of my life Obi. A 2 year old Pedigree Blue Staffy of 5 generations who I have sadly had to make the heartbreaking decision to re-home. Due to me and a partner splitting up, and a change in my work commitments I am sadly no longer in a position to give Obi the time, attention and care that he deserves. I'm not looking to make cash out of this i'm looking for true re-assurance that he's going to the right loving home. I would rather have Obi re-homed this way than through the Dogs Trust as I'd rather avoid the ordeal of him potentially staying in kennels for days/weeks.
Obi has a lovely temperament and a huge heart. He loves to play and has lots of energy. He loves his 2 walks a day and playing lots of tug. He'd suit a family with children and equally without. He can be jumpy/boystrous like most staffies - with the most playful intention - but then quickly learns he needs to be soft once told. He's very trainable and knows all the basic commands, sit, stay, leave it, kiss, heel. He's very smart and very trainable. He's great off lead and his re-call is 100% on point. He's also great on lead and no pulling as he knows to walk to heel. He is still intact and can be reactive with other male dogs so he will need a new owner who has the time and patience to take this on to help him learn how to conduct himself. So he would suit a house with no other dogs for now until he's trained. As mentioned he's very trainable however and I've made good progress with him on this front so I'd very much be looking for the right person to continue this. For now as a precaution I generally always have him on lead around other dogs, until he's in open space where he loves to run free - although he never tends to wonder out of sight given the level of his loyalty!
It breaks my heart to let him go. He has honestly changed my life in the best way. But I want to do what's fair to him given my change in circumstance and ensure he gets the care and love I know he deserves. Any questions, please let me know.
Obi is KC registered, microchipped, flea and worm treated and will be up to date on all vaccinations upon pick-up. I will provide all official paperwork upon request. I may ask to see photo's of where Obi will be living.
If we do meet and I decide that the circumstance doesn't feel right, please don't be offended. - I just want to make sure he goes to the right home for what I know he needs.
