Billy is a 3-year-old border collie who will be 4 in January .
As heartbreaking as it is due to a change in employment, we are no longer able to give Billy the time and training that he needs. Billy is a lovely, playful dog who can be very misunderstood. He loves being around his owners and can be quite needy and wants to play a lot.
Billy needs someone who either works from home or spends a lot of time at home , someone who enjoys spending time outdoors and who will enjoy taking him out and about . Billy ideally needs a man in the house due to him sometimes trying to dominate . Billy can be anxious and needs reassurance sometimes when out and about and has previously barked and lunged at other dogs but has never bitten another dog ( it’s normally large dogs as he feels intimidated). Billy loves small dogs and most female dogs . I wouldn’t recommend having him around children due to his anxiety; he has previously nipped .
He ideally needs to go to someone who has experience with border collies and can train him and spend the time with him, helping him overcome his issues .
