Description

2 cocker, springer, collie crosses For Sale Siblings, can go together or separate • Fifi- brown and white female • Dexter- black male Really difficult and sad decision to make we’ve really fallen in love with them and have tried so hard to keep them but no one in our home has the time or energy to keep up with them and it’s unfair for the breed to be lacking in this much mental and physical stimulation. We want someone who has experience with the breed or atleast understands and is ready for the work needed to be put in to spaniel Collies. They are very intelligent dogs and especially fifi would be brilliant on a farm or somewhere she can fully develop into the spaniel and collie roll rather than being sat on a sofa all day, although they do love that aswel! We bred the litter and have been trying to sell Dexter since they were born. Fifi we decided to keep however soon realised we couldn’t handle the life they need and they deserve a lot more. They will need seperation training as they’ve been together since birth. Dexter especially will struggle with seperation. They are both very used to neighbouring dogs barking and people shouting constantly and neither of them have any reaction whatsoever. They are both very obedient, however do need a lot more work and training put into them. There extremely loving and intelligent they just need to be able to use it so need rehoming asap. Please no time wasters these are babies and we just want them in a good home. Dex Dexter is a very sweet loving boy, he’s immediately by your side watching you if your unwell or he suspects somethings wrong. He’s SUPER affectionate and just wants love and cuddles, he’ll jump up on the sofa and paw you for attention. He’s much more quiet and calm than fifi and likes to stretch out on the cold floor for naps. We think he could have a bit of arthritis but are unsure, his back legs can just get a bit stiff sometimes and sometimes he’s noticeably slower than the rest of the litter. Vets have checked however cannot see anything immediately wrong. He would be perfect in a family home or with one person to be his forever companion. He’s absolutely fine with cats and not bothered. The breed is obviously such an excitable energetic breed however Dexter does show the much more calm side of it but has his mad times! Honestly such a sweet boy just needs to go to a home that has the time and love for him. Training: Walking- He’s doing really well with walking by your side the whole time, and stopping when you stop, he was struggling for a long time with constant pulling but something has just clicked and he’s now walking beautifully. His recalls getting a lot better, the only time it’s not so good is if there’s another dog he’s more interested in. We are comfortable walking him off lead in walking areas and parks though. And he comes back straight away when he knows it’s the end of the walk. We have not done any recall training with him. He’s not at all reactive to anyone or anything and doesn’t bark at others walking past. He just wants to make friends with everyone and if ever conflict with another dog he is very submissive and scared. Toilet training- He’s been clean throughout the day for months however rarely having accidents through the night, this is only because we have many people in our house all who have been treating it differently when found so it has confused him. They had gone a couple of weeks without accidents when one person had taken over so it will be very a quick thing to stop he just needs consistency from everyone. Commands- He knows sit, stay, catch, and take it for his food. He is very good with automatically sitting and waiting when his dinners being made and waiting without being told until he’s told to take it. Fifi Fifi is honestly the most loyal girl. She is so owner focused wherever she is and just wants to please constantly. She will forever be right by your side as close as she possibly can be. And she just wants as much love as she can get. She would be very very easy and perfect to train as she has such a focus for her owner and is constantly trying to figure out what you want her to do. She’s insanely intelligent. She really could be trained to a T. She’s got bundles of energy that just keeps on going so any home she goes too would need to have the time and be committed to such an active life that properly stimulates her body and mind. She is great with cats absolutely loves them to pieces but has taken a long time to stop her chasing them and getting overly excited, you can see she has a natural instinct too in her eyes and she whines wanting too. Training: Walking- Fifi is doing a lot better with pulling on lead however does still majorly pull and will get up on her back legs to pull more. We are currently working on this and she is doing really well but are back to the start as soon as anything’s triggered her like a cat or person etc. Her recalls brilliant because of her owner focus being so great, she’s constantly got half an eye on you and comes excited immediately when she’s called. The only time her recall can be a little off is when certain people walk past she will bark non stop at them and won’t go too close I don’t know whether it’s out of protection or what but she isn’t aggressive towards them she’s just loud. She’s getting much better at listening when you tell her to stop though. She’s also friendly with all other dogs but has sometimes been a little dominant. Toilet training- She’s been clean throughout the day for months however rarely having accidents through the night, this is only because we have many people in our house all who have been treating it differently when found so it has confused her. They had gone a couple of weeks without accidents when one person had taken over so it will be very a quick thing to stop she just needs consistency from everyone. Commands- She knows sit and stay, and take it for her food. She is also very good with that.
