Description

Ziggy is a cheeky Alexandrine Parakeet. He’s a year and 9 months old and not hand tame. Due to my health declining and lengthy stays in hospital, I feel like he is not getting the best care and training he could be receiving. When I got Ziggy a year ago he was absolutely terrified of hands and people and the previous owner had grabbed him by his feet to give him to me. He has come a long way and is now taking treats and we get the occasional stroke on the end of his tail feathers. My plan was to train him myself but I have been in and out of hospital and some days bed bound. I want this to be an honest advert as he was sold to me as “tame” which was not the case to no fault of his own. Before he was sold to me he was housed as a pair and I can really see in his behaviour that he could do with another bird as a friend. He is going to need someone with patience and time as I really believe with some training he can go a long way, which unfortunately I am no longer able to do due to my health declining. This is a really difficult decision to make but he deserves better care than I am currently giving him. The price does include PawHut bird cage 83x53x180cm, any current toys, food and supplies.
