We are delighted to announce that our beautiful German Wirehaired Pointer, Picardy Spaniel cross, Arlo is expecting a litter of puppies at the beginning of November. The puppies will be ready to join their new families in January. We are currently accepting enquiries for the litter.
About Arlo
We decided to breed Arlo because of her outstanding temperament, gentle nature and huge personality. She is intelligent, loyal and affectionate. Arlo has been our third-wheel since she was a pup and is very adaptable. She is calm and confident in every environment she finds herself in, whether it be on a train, a tube in rush hour, or, on the back of a kayak. She is just as happy under the table at a pub or in town shopping as she is running around fields and the woods.
About the sire WHV (Magro)
We first met Magro two years ago as a puppy. Aside from his handsome face, the first thing we noted was his calm temperament. As we watched him grow, we saw his biddable nature develop and hoped that one day he could father Arlo’s puppies.
About the Breed: Active Homes Required
Both breeds are HPR (hunt, point, retrieve) gundogs and although Arlo and Magro are family pets, they would also make versatile and driven hunting companions. Arlo’s parents were both deer stalkers in Scotland. These dogs are intelligent and energetic, they at their happiest when they are mentally and physically stimulated. With this in mind, active homes that can provide the time and commitment required for consistent training are a must and experience with similar breeds is preferable.
Ensuring every puppy has the best start is very important to us. We have a busy family home and the puppies will be introduced to children, other family dogs, chickens and our cat.
Every puppy will be:
Microchipped
Vet Health Checked
Wormed & Flea Treated
Vaccinated with their first vaccination
Sent to their new homes with a supply of their puppy food.
We will only let our puppies go to suitable homes and reserve the right to refuse a sale if we feel it is not in the best interest of the puppy.
