I feel guilty to have to let her go but I feel she deserves more, Her mate has passed away a few months ago and ever since she has lost a few feathers, I have other parrots but none who want to socialise with her even though she tries, Now that her mate is gone when she is out flying she always goes to my male quaker parrots cage to try and bond with him and if you know quakers bond to one person and don't tend to get along with other birds, which has caused stress towards me since for her to be out i have to be on constant look out now as she wont stop flying to his cage and he wants to bite.
I want her to go to a home that has more kakarikis like herself that she can play and bond with, if you have an aviary that is what i'm looking for her to go, i don't want her to be cooped up in a cage as she is an athletic bird and deserves more, She doesn't like to be handled or trapped in a cage she is not like a pet.
If you dont have an aviary with other kakarikis please do not respond to this advert as it's not for you.
I don't drive so to be able to get her you would need to be able to pick her up, I would also ask to see pictures of the aviary and the conditions that the birds are in before I say yes as I want her to go to a good home only.
