Description

Willa is about 3.5 years old and is a similar size to a Labrador (she's about 22/23kg). She would like to find a forever home with a male dog. She is a little wary of males (at first), so one of her caregivers will need to be female. Any children in the home would need to be older and dog savvy. On Willa’s arrival in the UK, she spent a few weeks in a lovely kennels as she decompressed and acclimatised to her new situation. Now, we have been able to find her an amazing foster home where she is mingling with lots of other dogs and proving what a special lady she is. Her foster mum says, “Just WOW. She has this quietness with a sparkle of mystery around her.” During the first few days in the home, Willa has shown that she is a clean girl with no accidents indoors. There have been a few surprises for her, like the television (we doubt she’s seen one before!), but she has taken it all in her stride. Willa is so gentle and has a quiet calmness about her; she’s almost angelic. She hasn’t barked once during her time in the home yet. This friendly girl is enjoying being her foster mum’s shadow, and so we think she’d like a human to be around a lot of the time. She has been left for 3 hours and there were no issues. However, she did offer a wonderful welcome on her foster mum’s return, with some big hugs too! She loves affection, cuddles and attention. She can be nervous of men to begin with, but she shows no signs of aggression. She just needs to keep having positive experiences to show her that she can trust men. Willa is enjoying being around other dogs. She can be a little unsure of some other dogs (the more confident ones), but she does warm to them and is gaining in confidence all the time. She enjoys running around the garden with doggy friends, but her human is more important. We think that another dog would be good for her, and she particularly loves male dogs. Willa really is a very special dog. There is just something so precious about her, and we know that her lucky forever human/s will absolutely adore her (and she them). There may need to be a female in the household to help her gain confidence with any males. Males in the household will need to be kind, compassionate, gentle and patient with her. Do you think Willa could be your soul mate? If so, please complete an adoption request form (LINK BELOW - please copy and paste into your browser).
