Roscoe – Looking for His Forever Home
It’s with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our lovely boy, Roscoe. This has not been an easy decision, but due to family medical issues we are unable to give him the time, training, and long walks that he truly needs and deserves.
Roscoe is a loving, energetic boy with so much potential. He absolutely thrives on attention and enjoys being active. He will need an experienced owner who can continue his training and provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
He would be best suited to a home that understands high-energy dogs and can commit to very long daily walks and lots of one-to-one time.
Roscoe currently lives with a child and cats. He can become over-excited and boisterous, especially around movement, and has started jumping up and trying to grab at clothing and legs when our son is getting ready for school or coming home. He has not shown aggression, but his excitable behaviour has made our son nervous and uncomfortable around him. Because of this, we feel it’s in everyone’s best interest for Roscoe to be in a home better suited to his energy levels.
He has also shown strong chasing instincts towards our cats, so he would be better in a home without cats.
We believe Roscoe would thrive in:
• A home with no young children, or older children who are confident with lively dogs
• An active family who can provide long walks and continued training
• Ideally a home with another well-balanced dog to help guide and socialise him
Health-wise:
• Blind in one eye, but has clear vision in his other eye and manages perfectly well
• Microchipped (details will be transferred to new owner)
• Up to date with vaccinations
• Flea and worm treated
• Not yet neutered – this will need to be done once he is settled in his new home
He will come with all of his belongings including his bed, crate, toys, food, treats, leads, harness, and bowls.
Roscoe is a good boy who simply needs more time, structure, and exercise than we can currently provide. With the right home, patience, and consistency, he has so much potential to be an amazing companion.
