ALBIE IS IN THE CARE OF LURCHER LINK RESCUE.
Albie is a small young lurcher (exact age unknown due to him being a stray).
Albie was found straying with a broken leg - no owner ever came forward for him, so Lurcher Link paid for his veterinary treatment.
Albie is very handsome but please read this write-up carefully before applying:
Albie can be a little timid of new people (especially men), but once he gets to know you he's very friendly.

✅Albie walks nicely on the lead.
❌Albie can't be a single dog. Albie MUST be rehomed with another dog. He can be a little nervous (particularly of strange men) and needs another confident dog.
❌Albie can't be rehomed to a busy urban area. Albie needs to be rehomed to a quiet location. Albie has recently spent a couple of weeks in a home; but he was very reluctant to go out on walks. Albie is scared of fast-moving traffic and will freeze - understandable as his broken leg was likely the result of a traffic accident. Albie is fine going on walks here at Lurcher Link Headquarters, but he doesn't have to walk alongside a road here, so we think it was fear of the busy roads that caused his reluctance to walk. Any prospective new home will need to be sympathetic to Albie's fears and be prepared to take him on walks away from busy fast traffic (he will travel happily in a car), at least until he's had time to settle in and could be trained (by counter-conditioning, positive reinforcement or desensitization).
❌Albie cannot be left home alone. Albie has separation anxiety and cannot be left - not even for 10 minutes at first; he will need to be allowed time to settle in to his new home before any new owners start to work on leaving him for even very short periods.
No Cats
Lurcher Link Rescue will cover any future vet expenses caused by the leg that was broken, because it won't be covered by insurance.
