🌸 About Astra Astra is a stunning, sweet-natured 8-month-old German Shepherd with a beautiful coat and so much love to give. She is incredibly intelligent, eager to learn, and has the most adorable gentle side when she feels safe. She was originally bought with the hope of becoming a service dog, but sadly her needs are more than I am currently able to meet, and it’s in her best interest to find someone with the right experience and time to help her shine. ⚠️ Honest information — her current challenges: I believe much of Astra's behaviour is rooted in anxiety and confidence building — she needs someone who understands this and will be patient with her. Her current challenges include: • Reactivity: She is reactive towards other dogs and people when out and about — she barks and gets anxious, so she needs a quiet home where she can be socialised gently and consistently. • Separation anxiety: She barks loudly in the hallway when you leave or go out — she finds being alone really difficult right now. • Toileting: She is still having accidents indoors and hasn’t fully mastered house training yet. • Overwhelm: When she feels overwhelmed or pushed too far, she can become defensive — this comes from fear, not aggression. 💛 Why I’m being honest: I would never hide anything about her — she deserves someone who knows exactly what she needs and will love her through the hard days as well as the good. She is not a "quick fix" dog — she is a project who will reward the right person with a fiercely loyal, wonderful companion. 🏡 What her perfect home needs: ✅ Someone experienced with the breed or anxious/reactive dogs ✅ No busy public roads right outside — quiet location would suit her best ✅ Time, patience, and ideally someone home more often than not ✅ Secure garden space — no shared spaces that might stress her ✅ No children — she needs a calm, adult-only environment while she builds confidence ✅ Someone committed to ongoing training — she responds so well when she trusts you 💬 Please only message if you are genuinely that special 5⭐ home.
