Toby has a very special coat. His sleek tuxedo markings are made extra fancy by a patch of long, silky white fur on his chest that looks just like a vintage ruffle dress shirt from the 70s. He really is as stylish as he is sweet.
Toby has a wonderfully gentle nature. He can be a little shy with new people, but once he feels comfortable, his soft side shines through. He enjoys being petted and will sometimes hop up onto a lap. He does love being near his people, often watching quietly from one of his favourite windows.
He’s quite a talker, and will happily have a little chat to let you know he’s ready for a meal! Toby is usually fine being left alone for the work day but would love a family who gives him lots of attention during their off time.
When it comes to playtime, Toby he “has his moments” (read: little bursts of zoomies) and a soft spot for catnip toys. The funny thing about his play style is that when you’ve got a wand toy or laser pointer out, he’ll just follow it with his eyes.. never bothering to move a toe bean in effort. Lazy chap!
What he loves most, though, is sitting by the window in his two favourite lookout spots, watching the world go by. He also loves brushed.
Toby has lived with older children (ages 11 and 15) and was very comfortable around them, but he doesn’t enjoy living with other cats and would be happiest as the only pet. As a family cat, he’s comfortable with a faster paced household, but would also suit someone on the quiet side.
He currently enjoys short, gentle outings into the back garden and never strays far, but he could just as happily live as an indoor-only cat in the right home.
With his soft nature, beautiful coat, and quiet companionship, Toby will make a wonderful addition to the right family.
