šLorena is a beautiful girl who has settled in wonderfully. She absolutely adores people and gets along with every dog she meets. A true cuddlebug, sheāll happily climb into your lap for snuggles (often at the most āinconvenientā times!) or flop onto the sofa for a well-earned power nap. š
Sheās full of energy and would thrive with an active person or family ā she can run for miles and absolutely loves it! Off-lead, Lorena shows no interest in wandering off; sheās far too busy playing and having fun. She enjoys her toys, is ball-mad, and canāt resist sneaking away with her doggy friendās orange squeaky ball whenever she gets the chance.
On the lead she can still be a little strong, but itās pure excitement and enthusiasm for life. Around the house sheās a dream ā clean, settled, and sleeping soundly through the night. One small warning: shoes (especially flip-flops!) need to be kept safely out of reach, as Lorena thinks they make the best chew toys.
She could happily be an only dog or live with another, as she enjoys canine company and follows her friend Alberta everywhere. Lorena really is a little gem ā affectionate, playful, and ready to bring endless love to her forever family. š¾
Lorena went into foster in Buckinghamshire on Monday 4th August.
Her Story
On June 1st, International Childrenās Day, our rescuer spotted Lorena alone in the fields by a busy road. She was desperately chasing every passing car, as if begging for help.
When approached, she cried softly, jumped with joy, and then ran ahead, constantly looking back to ensure she was being followed. She led our rescuer straight to a heartbreaking sightāher tiny baby, Ruby, lying weak in the grass, too exhausted to move. š
Both were rushed to the vet, and thanks to the incredible care of the veterinary teamāand the devotion of her amazing mum, Lorenaāpuppy Ruby survived.
