With a very heavy heart we are looking to rehome our beautiful Dachshund boy Ralph. This is due to an unfortunate change in family circumstances and it is no longer possible to keep him.
Ralph is an amazing dog with a great personality. His favourite thing to do is play in the garden, with his toys or snuggle on your knee under a blanket. Ralph does best in one environment with somebody who works from home or is at home most of the day (however he can be left for up to 4 hours a day maximum in his crate). He would be better suited to a household with no children or older children. He lives with our 2 older daughters (15 & 18) and us. He is used to other dogs and loves to play with them, so living with another dog should not be a problem, although he is currently the only dog in our household. He is quite an anxious dog and can be unsettled by visitors until he gets to know them. He can get travel sick on long journeys but not always. He is better if in footwell if the car. He is house trained, lead trained and crate trained. Ralph loves to sleep in a covered crate at night. He has leant commands: sit, paw, wait, stay & no. We ask that the person has experience of owning dogs and especially the Dachshund breed. We would like his next home to have a secure garden area and that he definitely wouldn’t be left all day whilst homeowners go out to work. We are looking for his forever home and what we can promise is 100% love and affection back from him. He will come with collar, lead, crate, bed, toys, food etc. He has is microchipped, castrated, up to date with all vacccinations, had a recent vet health check and is in 100% health, he is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He is a wonderful dog. We are truly devastated he has to be rehomed, but are keen to get him his forever home.
