Lucy, a tiny one-year-old female Pomeranian, has eyes that hold both innocence and sorrow — the kind of eyes that have seen too much for such a small soul. She was locked in a small, filthy cage, barely large enough for her to stand. The air was thick with fear, the ground soaked with filth. Day after day, she watched other dogs cry and disappear, never to return. She had no name, no toys, no warmth — only cold metal, hunger, and pain. Her fur, once meant to be soft and beautiful, became matted and dull. Her tiny paws bled from the wire floor beneath her.
