Description

Hoping to sort out prospective owners in advance as less than 30 Skye Terriers have been born in the UK this year. They are not due until the end of December and will be ready at the end of February. 7 pups due according to the ultrasound. Both parents live with me and both therefore can be seen. Puppies will be socialised and trained by 8-10 weeks The daddy is drop ear and mummy prick ear and there is no way of telling about a pup until 12-14 weeks of age. Advertising in advance to get reservations and meet prospective owners. I will, of course put photos up of each pup once they are born. Pedigree can be shown for the parents. The photos and video is of the parents at various ages. Not show dogs by choice not by calibre. Most people , even in Scotland are not familiar with this breed despite the Famous Greyfriars Bobby and the possibly more famous Dougal from the Magic Roundabout. They are fantastic dogs, very loyal and good with children and other dogs. I do get asked quite a bit if they are hard work to groom and if they are ‘ high maintenance’? The answer is no. The show dogs , yes . They need maintenance when it is show time , but as a home body dog I brush them once a week and only bathe them about once a month. The long coat does get wet and muddy but no more so than any other long hair breed and the muck falls off once they dry out. Mum is nicknamed Pocket Rocket and dad is the most laid back dog I have owned and very cuddly. Both the parents are well socialised and also get on well with my oldest dog (in video) and other dogs . I prefer to discuss things on my landline with anyone interested and they will be advertised on the Kennel Club website once the papers come through. Tania
