Description
With a very heavy heart, I’m looking for a new forever home for my African Grey parrot, Smokey. This decision has taken me a long time, as I truly hate the thought of parting with him, but due to a recent promotion at work and significantly increased hours, I can no longer give him the time and attention he truly deserves.
Smokey is a sensitive, intelligent parrot who thrives on companionship and interaction. Unfortunately, the lack of attention has begun to affect him, and he has recently started plucking under his neck, which I believe is due to being left alone more than he can cope with. This has made it clear to me that his wellbeing must come first.
He does not do well being left for long periods and needs a home where someone is around most of the day and able to engage with him regularly. Because of this, I will only consider a home that can genuinely provide the time, patience, and commitment Smokey needs. His happiness and welfare are my absolute priority.
This is not a quick or easy decision, and he will not be rehomed lightly. If you are experienced with parrots—especially African Greys—or fully understand the responsibility involved and can offer Smokey the loving, attentive home he deserves, please get in touch.

He comes with his large cage, toys, perch for when he’s out of his cage, and food.
